I’ve had the privilege of working across diverse projects that combine leadership, innovation, and collaboration to drive change. Below are some highlights from my journey.
Innovation in Aged Care

  • AI Adoption in Aged Care Sector: Heading this national workgroup, which brings together AI specialists, local councils, and aged care sector organisations from across Australia. Key initiatives include the Strengthened Aged Care Standards GPT, set for launch in the first half of 2025, and a readiness toolkit for adoption. We are also planning for a Policy Framework for Ethical AI in Ageing Societies to guide responsible innovation.
  • AI in Aged Care: Delivered presentations on the impact of AI in aged care to groups across the country, fostering engagement and dialogue on its potential.
  • Engage: Supporting aged care organisations with staff training programs and streamlining operational workflows to achieve better outcomes.
Ageing Well

  • Aged Care Sector Support: Conducted research to enhance services for diverse communities and developed training materials for volunteers working with older adults.
  • South Australia’s Plan for Ageing Well: Contributing as an Impact Review Group member to inform the SA Government’s next plan for Ageing Well (2026–2036).
  • Engage: Developed initiatives such as Open Up, a board game that promotes storytelling and memory sharing, and workshops such as In The Groove, which teaches participants how to design and deliver sessions that use dance as an intervention to improve health outcomes for older clients.
Skills and Capacity Building

  • culturalQ: Delivered tailored cultural intelligence (CQ) training to over 50 organisations across industries, including aged care, education, business, and government.
  • Conference Presentations: Shared insights on cultural intelligence, workforce management and innovation, and AI at national forums and conferences.
  • Educational Initiatives: Co-developed programs on AI skills for ACE educators, workforce management strategies, and communication skills for staff working with older adults.
Social Impact

  • Wake Up to Change: Help organise the annual Adelaide White Ribbon Breakfast, which has so far raised over $230,000 to fund violence prevention programs for women and children.
  • Pro Bono Work: Supporting smaller community organisations like the Greek Women’s Society by helping them secure funding and meet governance standards.
